From the hills and Fields of Turkey comes this unique weapon. Used by Turkish Horsemen to both swiftly decapitate their foes and defend themselves if the need arose to dismount and fight on foot.
The elegant forward curve of the Yataga is what gives it the awesome cutting power it posses. The Horseman would ride past his victim and catch his neck in the "Hollow" of the blade (the section before the curve sweeps forward) and as his target's neck slid along the blade the Belly of the curve would cut right through the neck and remove the victims head with little effort on the part of the swordsman.
For those times the Horseman must dismount and defend himself on foot, careful attention is paid to ensure that the point of the blade is inline with the handle for quick accurate thrusts. The blade is thin and light and very well balanced for very fast parries and cuts, it practically wields itself and is an absolute dream to use.
